The thought of McDonalds makes me want to vomit. The food and service are horrible and the restaurants are unsanitary. I would rather starve than eat something from there. Posted by izzie December 11, 2008, 7:12 PM comments (0)
McDonald's offer inexpensive, fast food with variable quality; variable cleanliness and service quality across restaurants has tarnished their image. Posted by Jeff August 12, 2009, 6:25 AM comments (0)

Who knows what McDonalds puts in their food?!?!? I would suggest not eating it. Posted by Harry Paratestes December 3, 2008, 4:32 PM comments (0)
In-N-Out is the only fast food restaurant I would ever make a sober decision to eat at. Posted by colleenR December 8, 2008, 3:27 PM comments (0)
I do not have a personal relationship with McDonalds at all. It is strictly a functional relationship as I only visit McDonalds when traveling long distances and there is nothing else on the road and i need something cheap and fast. Although i used to love it as a small kid, as i got older I grew less and less fond of it with the discovery of places like in-n-out. i would never choose willingly to eat at mcdonalds. I'm not a fan of McDonald's and the first thing I think of is unhealthy, cheap fast food that usually doesn't taste that great. I mean, their hash browns, sausage McMuffins (no processed egg), and McFlurries taste pretty good though. I don't go there for their hamburgers which are what McD's are supposed to be all about anyway. Their employees get the job done quickly, but on multiple occasions I have gotten my order wrong. I would choose pretty much any other fast food restaurant over McDonald's. Posted by Vard December 1, 2008, 5:39 PM comments (2)
McDonalds is definitely on the bottom of the list of fast food restaurants. We, as a family, used to eat it all the time when I was younger, I assume to save money. Nowadays, my parents nor I would never buy McDonalds. I am not a fan of fast food, but if I was to choose a couple fast food restaurants, I would say Wendys and Subway beat out McDonalds any day. The "healthy" options at McDonalds are not even very healthy. McDonalds employees are not friendly and the quality of food is rather disgusting. Posted by Beezy December 1, 2008, 5:03 PM comments (0)
McDonald's is consistent but disgusting. I would choose to eat at almost any other fastfood restaurant before eating there. I do not eat fastfood often and when I do eat it, I look for quality which McDonald's does not have. Healthy choices, nope! Posted by harryharrypotter December 1, 2008, 5:00 PM comments (0)
I do not care for McDonalds. I do think they are very consistent the few times I have been there though. I am not a fast food lover but I prefer other fast food over them. Probably because when I think about McDonalds and the only real reason why I liked them when I was younger is because of their kid meals and ball pins. Now I would much rather go to in and out because food is fresher. Posted by maude December 1, 2008, 3:27 PM comments (0)
I rarely eat fast food, and if given the option I would choose to avoid it whenever possible. I would recommend eating at other restaurants and choose to find a cleaner, healthier option as an alternative. If I were to recommend a fast food restaurant I would tell the person to go to a grocery store instead. Posted by Billy Bob December 1, 2008, 3:26 PM comments (0)
The last time I ate at McDonalds I was optimistic but they proved their food taste like cardboard and makes you feel like *@! I haven't been back since. The quality is bad and the service is not special. I feel guilty if I even think about eating at the place so I avoid it with a passion. Posted by The Don December 9, 2008, 9:25 PM comments (0)
The McDonald's corporation upholds a corrupt agenda designed to supress low income households in the United States. It provides price sensitive consumers with cheap alternatives to food and a good way for irresponsible parents to poison their children via obesity/diabetes. McDonalds is extremely consistent in giving me the runs Posted by Matthew Sacher December 10, 2008, 8:11 AM comments (0)
I think McDonalds is gross. Sorry McDonalds. You're food is unhealthy, fattening, and I know you're trying to create more health-conscious items but I just don't buy into their supposed "healthiness". Sorry. Posted by starsandshapes December 1, 2008, 3:21 PM comments (0)
I dont feel any connections to McDonalds. I think there food is C quality and there service is C quality as well. Posted by DSchiller December 1, 2008, 3:22 PM comments (0)
Have i gotten sick from McD's? yes. Delicious? sometimes. they used to have the best breakfast back in the day, but now that all the other place upped their menus, they arent the best anymore. I think i stopped going after i was too big to play in the ball pit. Posted by Richard Kim December 10, 2008, 8:43 AM comments (0)
I don't eat much fast food, but when I do, I rarely ever go to McDonalds. The only things I ever feel safe ordering there are fries and hashbrowns; not because they are healthier, but because I feel safer knowing I wont be injesting nasty mutant meat. Posted by gottaloveit December 10, 2008, 12:50 PM comments (0)
I don't eat at McDonald's very often. When I do it's for the breakfast menu. There are many alternatives to McDonald's that I prefer because of healthier options. In terms of the service, I think they deliver the food quickly but their employees suck. Also, McDonald's advertises new items in commercials and have tasty looking pictures on their menu. However, when you order those items they are small (size of item) as compared to what they depict in their commercials and pictures. Very deceiving, but the price explains it. I dont feel like I have any connection or relationship to McDonalds. I would not go out of my way to visit McDonalds. Besides their fries I think that their food is gross. I usually only go there if I want some cheap fast food and they are the only fast food place in 100 miles. Posted by lalala December 1, 2008, 3:25 PM comments (0)
When i think of McDonald's i think of obesity. It's terrible for you and they market to young children hence the increase of child obesity in America. I once ordered chicken mcnuggets that weren't even cooked all the way and came out as a fried shell with gooey filling. Explain that!? oh and their mascot is a clown! SCARY! Ronald McDonald is the reason many children can't sleep at night. Posted by Edith419 December 1, 2008, 5:04 PM comments (0)
My view of McDonald's has changed after seeing "Super Size Me." I am ok with eating it once in a while on a road trip, but I never go there when given other non-fast-food options. I don't mind paying more for real food that does not kill me! Posted by GONINERS December 1, 2008, 5:07 PM comments (0)
McDonalds has gross food. It's greasy, unhealthy, and high in calories. I would rather starve than eat it. In fact, I would probably rather eat from any other fast food chain. However, they do have a delicious coffee shop in tehir Australia stores where you can get a cheap cup of coffee quickly and a good muffin. Their normal good sucks though. Posted by AliceinWonderland December 1, 2008, 3:23 PM comments (0)
I don't like McDonalds. Most of their food is greasy, fattening, and not too delicious. If I'm hungover, maybe i'll go there to get some fries, but that's it. I feel sick after i eat a whole meal at McDonalds. I would never go out of my way for McDonalds, and i would definitely never pay more for such low quality food. The few times i've been, theyve gotten my order wrong. Posted by gumby December 1, 2008, 3:22 PM comments (0)
I am not a loyal customer to McDonalds. I do not really eat any fast food, but if I did, McDonalds would not be my choice. I think McDonalds has done a good job getting young kids excited about their brand. All little kids I know, know the golden archs and Ronald McDonald. It is sad, but McDonalds has done a good job advertising their Kids Meal. They are also doing their best cater to the healthy lifestyle, by adding a milk and apple slices options for kids and salads and chicken sandwiches for parents. McDonald's always smells gross and like very deep fied unhealthy food. That is why I never go in there. Posted by MPURA December 9, 2008, 6:49 PM comments (0)
I rarely go to fast food restaurants primarily because I view it as unhealthy. My perception of McDonalds in particular is that they offer cheap food that is of very consistent, however, that that food is greasy and of low quality. I find the stores' aesthetics bland and the customer service low. Click: Valuable Supporting Data Posted by theyerb December 1, 2008, 3:24 PM comments (0)
McDonalds ranks pretty low on the fast food index in my book. I'll get the french fries/milkshakes/coffee when I'm in a hurry but rarely ever go there for a meal. I try to not eat fast food if I can. Posted by Tricky Dick December 1, 2008, 5:09 PM comments (0)
McDonald's is the least likely place I would go to when eating fast food. Though they my have a good value menu, the service by employees and the quality of food is very poor. Other fast food restaurants may not have as cheap prices for their food items, but service and quality is much better. Posted by MixMasterMike December 1, 2008, 3:30 PM comments (0)
I dislike McDonald's. I think the food it fatty and nasty but I do have cravings at times for their fries but those are rare. Otherwise I stay away from the place. Posted by Kim Bernard December 1, 2008, 5:07 PM comments (0)
I feel McDonalds lacks on quality. I feel the food is decently represented by price, Cheap price = Cheap food. McDonalds is the last choice for fast food places to eat. Posted by Bballkt4ever December 1, 2008, 3:22 PM comments (0)
Without cheap 44oz sodas, the monopoly game, and delicious fries, McDonald's offers nothing that I am interested in. They are generally a last resort or when I am incredibly broke. Posted by Bret Kreyenhagen December 1, 2008, 5:10 PM comments (0)
When I think of McDonald's cheap, inexpensive, and fattening food are all that come to mind. They're value menu is decent and the healthy items recently added are changes in the right direction. I feel like a faceless customer when ordering at McDonald's, predominately because the employees speak broken English. I would never go out of way for a McDonald and would certainly chose almost any alternative in the area. Posted by Chris McDermott (Team Dos) December 1, 2008, 3:26 PM comments (0)
Although McDonalds has been trying to improve their image health wise, i still wouldn't eat there. I can't seem to get their umhealthy gross greasy image out of my mind. While their food is consistent, I would rather go to almost any other fast food chain. Posted by Laura Armstrong, Team Dos December 1, 2008, 5:05 PM comments (0)
I do not have any personal or functional connection to McDonald's. I rarely visit fast food restaurants and when I do, I do not go to McDonald's. I don't think the service is that great and the food is unhealthy. Perhaps this can be because I did not grow up going to McDonald's so I never viewed McDonald's as a great fast food restaurant. Posted by A. Vallis December 1, 2008, 3:25 PM comments (0)
When I pass by a McDonalds, I never look back. Although they do have a good value menu, I would not say I am at all a committed customer. I probably purchase a cheeseburger maybe once a year, and that's only because someone else really wanted to go there. McDonalds is not unique and definatly replaceable when compared with other fast food restaurants. I'd rather pay more to get a really good meal, then waste a couple of bucks on McDonalds worthless attempt at a burger. Posted by tiggity December 1, 2008, 3:25 PM comments (0)
What ever happened to the 29 cent Hamburgers and the 39 cent Cheese Burgers. Those were the good ol' days. How can you pass up on spending a couple bucks and stuffing your face full of cheese burgers!!!?!!! Posted by HBbeachbum42 December 3, 2008, 3:35 PM comments (1)
I rarely go to McDonald's. When I do, I generally order off the value menu or just get a kid's meal. While I don't have a huge problem with McDonald's, I prefer other places. I am hesitant about even trying the salad or other "healthier" options because I doubt they even are healthier. Posted by pinkflamingo December 1, 2008, 5:05 PM comments (1)
I do not eat at McDonald's at all. Ever since high school I have probably eaten at McDonald's no more than three times, and one of those was because there was no other place to eat breakfast, and the other two being that I was in the mood for sweets, so I went and got their ice cream sundae for $1. The food is gross, unhealthy, and I do not trust what the employees the employees to handle my food. Posted by Who December 1, 2008, 3:24 PM comments (0)
McDonalds is good for people who are in a hurry and don't have very much money. McDonalds is not my favorite but they are obviously doing something right because the company is worldwide and highly profitable. Posted by Class December 1, 2008, 3:27 PM comments (0)
Here is the deal. I rarely eat fast food in the first place because it's not healthy. They're whole "zero trans fat" thing is a step in the right direction, but there food is still laced with saturated fat and high sugar contents. I only get value menu items when I go to places like McDonalds. To get the salads or chicken breast based sandwiches you end up paying the price you would pay for a much better sandwich or salad at a nicer place. They have to give me dollar based value with their healthier options or I am going to Subway! I don't like low priced hamburger meat or chicken veins. I do like low priced fruit yogurt parfaits though. I must admit the bbq sauce is boss. Posted by niklatrik December 1, 2008, 5:28 PM comments (0)
Although I do eat at McDonalds sometimes, I was embarrassed to even look at one when I was abroad because I think it has a bad image and I didn't want to be the "fat American eating at McDonalds" Posted by ExtraCreditYAY December 8, 2008, 5:37 PM comments (0)
I go to Mcdonalds only if I'm drunk and nothing else is open. I used to eat their salads (they actually are good). But i heard that the salads are just as bad as everything else, so i stopped eating them. Ice cream cones are bomb.. otherwise.. dont like MCdonalds. I used to go there all the time when i was younger. then it started catching up with me. i still eat the breakfast once in a while. it's really good but after eating there, i feel really gross. their new attempt at competing with starbucks is not working. their hot coffee is pretty good but their lattes and iced drinks are gross. i would only go there now if i was on a road trip and it was a choice between mcdonalds, burger king, jack in the box and carl's. Posted by khinojos December 8, 2008, 7:34 PM comments (0)
McDonalds is disgusting. I can feel myself getting fat just thinking about it. Also, the clown is really scary.....maybe that's just because I'm scared of clowns, but I seriously get nervous every time I jog by the McDonalds on Foothill with the life size Ronald sitting in the front of the place. Cut the clown. Keep the hash browns. Posted by Elizabeth Gaston December 8, 2008, 7:37 PM comments (0)
McDonalds has an unhealthy image and as much as they try to get around it I beleive it is something that is not going away. I like their fries and coffee but only go their if it is my VERY last resort! Posted by ExtraCreditYAY December 1, 2008, 5:02 PM comments (0)
McDonald's burgers, especially the value menu ones, are poor tasting and smaller compared to Jack, Burger King, Carls, etc. The fried and chicken nuggets taste good, but for some reason I always feel dirty eating there. I go to Burger King instead. Posted by ilovedominosbelts December 1, 2008, 5:07 PM comments (0)
McDonald's is not my favorite fast food place. Every once in awhile, I get a craving for the french fries and mcnuggs, but that's very seldom. It's usually only because I saw a commercial or somebody was eating them. The service is always a little weird, and the food is never that good. I just like how salty the french fries are. If I'm desparate for fast food, I'll eat McDonald's, but it wouldn't be my top choice. Posted by blahblahblah December 1, 2008, 3:22 PM comments (0)

Alot of the problem with mcdonalds is the overall idea that Mcdonalds has become a name that customers have come to associate with unhealthy food. I dont really know how much healthier other fast food companies are, but for some reason, McDonalds has taken way more of a bad wrap than any other out there. The food there isnt terrible, and the prices are much better than anywhere else, I am just failing to see why mcdonalds gets so much more heat than anyone else. I have no connections to McDonalds as a brand. In the very few occasions I resort to fast food I would prefer to waste my precious calories on something that tastes far better than McDonalds. I don't attend a McDonalds more than 2 or 3 times per year and the only item I enjoy on the menu is Chicken Nuggets. I guess you could say I'm a nugnut... I definitely would eat at any other fast food restaurant than McDonald's if I had the option. If I have to eat McDonald's the only thing I'll get is one of their salads. Posted by anonymous1 December 1, 2008, 5:04 PM comments (0)
McDonalds offers a wide variety of foods, none of which are the highest quality. They recently increased the price of many menu items, thus diminishing the value of their food. Without low price items, McDonalds will have trouble selling their bland and unhealthy items. The workers often speak in broken english and have got the order wrong many times. The service used to be great, with orders ready in under a minute. Now it takes 5 minutes to get your food and it is less tasty. The McDonalds of today has ruined my childhood memories. I am not a big fan of mcDonald's in general. The food is pretty cheap, however I feel that I can find better food at the same price at other restaurants. I am definitely not a comitted customer and really only eat at mcDonald's when the monopoly game is going on. My favorite item at mcDonald's is the sweet and sour sauce, the only problem is that to eat it I have to dip some of their disgusting, unhealthy food into it. It seems like McDonald's is continually raising their prices and yet their quality and size of food remains the same. Why pay $4 for a mediocre burger when you can get a juicy huge burger from Carl's Jr for the same price? I would go to McDonalds for a Mcflurry, parfet, or on big mac mondays (where I can get a burger for $1), but McDonald's holds no special place in my heart. I have not eaten at McDonalds in over 5 years. But from what I remember there food always made me sick. I don't like not knowing exactly what I am eating, and I was always unsure what exactly their "meat" was made out of.I also got to big to play in the the play place, so there was really no reason to go there anymore. McDonald's is a more functional relationship opposed to being personal. When/If I go to McDonalds it is because I am hungry and just need a place to eat. McDonalds, although having a more extensive menu, is not the main cause for my visits. I just want a cheap Big Mac. I think their commercials are ridiculous Posted by HBbeachbum42 December 1, 2008, 3:26 PM comments (2)
I have no problem with the speed at which the food gets delivered. But i would rather go to anyother fastfood place. I find their food greesy and processed. I only order the french fries, and the $.75 44oz. sodas. Posted by bomb.com December 1, 2008, 3:26 PM comments (0)
I like that McDonalds is beginning to introduce its coffee line here in the US. When I was in Italy we stopped at a McDonalds for a cappuccino and seriously it was one of the best ones I had while I was there. Posted by ExtraCreditYAY December 8, 2008, 5:38 PM comments (0)
When I visit McDonald's I am confident that the food will remain consistant from one store to the next. I feel I have a low personal relationship for employees lack communication skills and have trouble dealing with problems. McDonalds is strictly functional for consistant food and reasonable priced items. Posted by Brap December 1, 2008, 3:25 PM comments (0)
I have never been to a McDonald's that doesn't make me sick because of the smell. The quality of the food at McDonald's is very poor and I would never choose McDonald's as my first choice. McDonald's only good characteristic is its unique characters which it uses to promote its product. Although I rarely even see these characters any more. Posted by mk December 1, 2008, 3:25 PM comments (0)
I've never had a bad experience at McDonalds, but I am definitely not a loyal customer. I remember eating there more as a kid, now I probably haven't eaten there in a few years. Although they have begun to promote a healthy lifestyle and healthier options to their menu, some of the salads they offer are actually higher in calories than some of the burgers! I can't get past the unhealthy image that I have of them. Posted by Elena Saleh December 8, 2008, 9:21 AM comments (0)
I go to McDonald's when I am in search of cheap, quick food. I know that I will not be getting the best quality of food from McDonald's, but I know I can save some money by visiting them compared to other fast food restaurants. The quality of food from location to location seems to be consistant. Posted by johnjohn December 1, 2008, 3:24 PM comments (0)
McDonald's differentiates themselves from the rest of the fast-food chains which enables them to keep their market power. Their additional menu items, marketing campaigns, kid centers, and strong brand recognition make McDonald's popular, not their quality and taste. In the end, McDonald's client base is made up of primarily people below the poverty line, or families looking for a cheap way to feed/entertain their children. In my mind, McDonald's is greasy, displeasing, and sometimes even unbarable. Posted by ronny's-lame December 3, 2008, 3:45 PM comments (0)
When I think of McDonald's, I get a little sick to my stomache. I feel like their food makes me ill the entire day after I have consumed it, and I regret the trip. If friends want to go to McDonald's, I protest loudly and will sometimes take drastic measures to avoid the trip. If McDonald's were to go away, America would be much better off. Sometimes the McFlurry's are satisfying. Posted by Lisa Simon December 1, 2008, 3:22 PM comments (0)

Mcdonald's has been losing a lot of my confidence in them due to the drop of the dollar menu. This was one of the main reason's i used to eat at McDonald's because their food is sub-par, at best, in quality, taste and health. Although I have seen a push towards making the menu much more health conscience. Posted by dlions December 3, 2008, 5:19 PM comments (0)
I hate McDonald's the service is terrible and the employees do not care what-so-ever about the customers. In addition, most of them don't even speak english and always get your order wrong. The only thing worse than the service is the terrible tasting food. Biting into those burgers feels like eating a rubber chew toy, except a rubber chew toy is probably better tasting than a McDonald's burger. The only way I will ever be a McDonald's customer is if I am really drunk and their are no other options for food nearby. I have no connection to the brand, and their clown mascot scares me too. I hate clowns. Posted by Ronaldsworth the legendary December 1, 2008, 3:27 PM comments (0)
To state the obvious, McDonalds does offer a consistent quality of food that is equal to other fast-food alternatives. Compared to other similar fast-food chains such as Burger King and Jack-in-the-Box McDonalds is golden. Their portions are smaller and you can customize your burger out the wazoo. Having said that their relationship with customers is purely functional and most locations hire employees that speak minimal English. I can say my Spanish has significantly improved in the past few years and the clown scares me. Posted by Svilen Ivanov (team dos) December 1, 2008, 5:43 PM comments (0)

When it comes to knowing what I'm getting when I go to McDonald's, I would have to agree. However, to say that the food is always delicious would be a complete understatement. When I want a cheap gut-bomb of a sandwich and french fries, followed by a trip to the bathroom within a half an hour, then McDonald's is the place to go. I could never find anything on the McDonalds menu that was worthwhile. Then they introduced the McGriddle and it changed my life forever. Finally something I could eat which would GUARANTEE projectile vomit for the next 6 hours. Also, their use of a clown sends all potential customers the message that explains it all: buyer beware. McDonalds is bomb only for the cheap coffee. What a steal! $1.89 for a large coffee or $100 dollars for a frappacino at Starbucks. With the way things are lookin in the economy, McDonalds has been calling my name lately. A frozen vaniella cone is not a bad idea either. Forget all the other crap though. I am pretty neutral to McDonalds. I do not have much if any relationship to the fast food chain, but I do not mind eating there. The food is not healthy, but most fast food is not. I would not want to consistently eat there, but I do like to every once in a while. Posted by calpoly419 December 1, 2008, 3:25 PM comments (0)
I prefer McDonald's breakfast items far more than its lunch and dinner menu. The breakfast is tasty and delicious, far more than the burgers, chicken nuggests, and fries. I tend to only go to McDonald's in the morning so I can get a breakfast item. I rarely eat at McDonald's past the time it stops serving breakfast. Also, they always have very uninterested lazy looking people working there who look like they couldn't care less anout thier job which makes me not want to go there even more.
